Grilled Chili Lime Chicken is made with tender and juicy grilled chicken with the best chili lime marinade! This is one that your family will love!
Hey hey it’s Tiffany from Creme de la Crumb here to share one of my very favorite go-to weeknight dinner recipes with you. Grilled chicken is a staple in my house, all year round but especially in the Spring and Summer time, and now that the weather has been warming up, I’ve been using my grill several times a week in celebration.
This simple chili lime marinade can work its magic in as little as a half hour but if you think ahead, it’s 10 times better if you can let it hang out in the fridge for a few hours. Serve it up with a side salad or your favorite Spring veggies and kick off grilling season with this tasty chili lime grilled chicken!

I made this for a potluck and everyone raved about the chicken. Delicious! Thank you.
Hi,
Perhaps you could add the type and amount of oil to the recipe?
Thank you
Which recipe are you wanting the amount of oil? This recipe does not have oil added in.
I can’t see how much oil to use. Did this get edited?
Hello Kat!
It is 1 tablespoon of oil. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. I will make sure to get that added. Thanks for following along with me!
Best recipe ever!
I love this marinade, but a little unsure of how much & what kind of oil to use. Itโs not listed with the other ingredients, but in the directions it says to mix the oil & apple cider vinegar together. Please clarify. Thanks
This recipe doesnt call for oil
Looks and sounds delicious. What would be a good side dish for this recipe?
Hi Barbara!
I know you will love it! Some good side dishes for this would be asparagus, brussel sprouts, or just a good salad is always good. I hope you love it! Thanks so much for following along with me!!
Great recipe, have used it many times but it seems the Oil type and amount are no longer listed. From memory its 4 Tbsp. EVOO I think.
Thank you!
Making this today. Using True Lime crystals.
This dish looks SO deliciously good. I wish I could eat that right now!
It was good, but flavor was underwhelming. I probably will look for another marinade rather than doing this one again.
Best chicken I’ve ever tasted with a few changes to the recipe. Substitute Minced Garlic for Garlic Powder. Add dash of dried oregano. Triple the lime juice. Add 2 tablespoons Sriracha. Add 4 tablespoons honey. Use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts for grilling.
Iโll have to try that too! Sounds amazing. Thanks for the tip!
That sounds like an entirely different recipe IMHO.
I made chicken skewers with this recipe for a camping trip. did it all ahead of time, froze the chicken in the marinade and cooked over the fire once it thawed. AMAZING! looking forward to trying it again. thank you!
That is awesome to hear!! Way to go camping and making such a delicious meal!! Thanks for sharing! XOXO
Tried this last night, but baked it in the oven instead and then broiled it to finish it off. It was fantastic! I only marinated it for 30 mins, and it was full of flavor! I will certainly be making this again!
That is SO good to hear! Thanks for sharing! I am so happy it turned out and you all loved it!
