Discover Thrilling Skateboarding: 10 Pro-Endorsed Techniques That Combine Fitness with Fun!

1. Nose Pick Up
The Nose Pick Up is a straightforward skateboard trick. If you’ve done any tricks before, this is going to be easy. Here’s how you do it:
Start rolling and step off the skateboard with your back foot.
Press on the front of the board with your front foot – this will make it flip from the back.
As the back comes up, grab the board with your hands.
Try doing this while standing still, then when you’ve got it, try it while moving.

2. Nose Stall
The Nose Stall, or Nosebleed, is a simple popular skateboarding trick. All you need is a curb with an edge.
Skate toward the curb.
Press down on the back of your skateboard while on the curb, lifting the front upwards.
As you reach the curb’s top, press on the front and lock it onto the curb’s edge.
Push off with your other foot, set the board down on the curb, and roll away.

3. Tic Tac
If you snowboard, you’ll snag the Tic Tac quickly. You’ll use your shoulders to move your body and steer left and right.
Start by creating momentum with your shoulders, moving it through your hips and feet.
Shift weight onto the back of the board and use the momentum to go left and right.

4. Ollie
Ollie is a basic trick, but you need to be comfortable on your skateboard. It involves “popping” (lifting the front) and “dragging” (moving your front foot towards the front of your skateboard).
For popping, press onto the skateboard’s end with your back foot to lift it.
Pull your front foot towards the board’s front, while keeping it close to your feet while it’s in the air.
Once your front foot is at the end, press down with it to land safely and keep riding. Practice the timing between popping and dragging.

5. Nollie
Nollie is like Ollie but mirrored – you use your front foot instead. It’s a bit harder, so be patient when practicing.
Push your front foot towards the skateboard’s front, lifting it.
While the board’s in the air, push your back foot to the end of the board. Make sure both feet touch the skateboard while it’s airborne.
Maintain balance, land safely.

6. Hippie Jump
For this trick, you need a low obstacle. Send your skateboard under the obstacle as you jump over it and land back on the board.
Skate towards the obstacle. As it nears, push your skateboard so it goes under the obstacle.
Leap over the obstacle after pushing your board.
Land on the board safely, keep going. Practice your jump timing and landing.

7. Acid Drop
Acid Drop is where you pop the board, catch it midair, swing it forward, and jump back on it.
While moving, press on the end, lifting the board like in an Ollie.
Catch the board’s front as it lifts, placing both feet on the ground.
Swing the skateboard forward.
As it descends, jump and land on it.

8. Rail Stand
A cool four-step trick beloved by many.
Press with both feet and flip the board. Use the front foot’s heel on one side and the back foot’s toe on the other.
When the board flips, your front foot’s heel will already be on top of the rail.
With your front foot on the rail, bring the other foot down onto the rail.
Now just push a little, and you’ll be back on your board.

9. Front Side 50-50 Grind
This is an easy grind trick but don’t forget, you need to have basic tricks like the Ollie down.
Start with an Ollie onto an object, like a ledge.
When you land, lock one side of the wheels on the object’s corner.
Slide using your skateboard’s trucks to the object’s end and get off.
Try all these steps until you nail it.

10. 180 No Comply
This is a neat trick that helps you switch sides with style – but it’s not easy.
Start with your front foot ready to step off the board.
Place your back foot on the end and press on one side for a spin.
While it spins, place your front foot on the ground and keep your back foot on the board.
After the board spins, your back foot will be on the front – you’ve switched sides. Now, your back foot is your front.
Place the other foot on the rear and keep going.
Remember, practice makes perfect. Keep working on these tricks until you have them down. But don’t forget: always wear a helmet when you ride!
